The Mosaic Mural, "John Wayne and the American Frontier" (32'8'' x 6'8''), was created for John Wayne School in Brooklyn by New York painter Knox Martin. Sponsored by the Board of Education of the City of New York in 1982, this mosaic mural is located in the lobby of P.S. 380. It is a beautiful and inspiring work! The mural was featured in the book by Michele Cohen, Stan Ries and Michael Bloomberg. Public Art for Public Schools. New York: The Monacelli Press, 2009. (May 2011)
